"Älskade, Saknade!" and the quote: "Än kommer dag, än är ej allt förbi" J.L.Runeberg.
which I would translate to: Beloved, missed! and the quote: "As long as there is a day tomorrow there is hope".

Blond Finnish maid with Finnish lion on her breast and Lex, the Finnish law at her side. The card is printed by Alex Eliasson (No 1633) probably for other markets than the Finnish in 1906 or 1907. The back is divided. Note the symbolics of the rising sun, with clear reference to Japan, who defeaded the Russian in the Japanese/Russian war in 1904-05.

reproduction on postcard of the painting Hyökkäys (Attack).
The original painting was made by Edvard Isto in 1899 and it is one of the best known Finnish paintings, painted the same year as Tsar Nicholas II issued the Febryary manifesto.
